Cuban Cigars

Cuba is one of the most famous and recognised country for producing and exporting cigars, due to the quality, volume and range of cigars they can produce. The climate and soil in Cuba makes it the perfect place to grow tobacco, and combined with the best recognised “torcedores” (cigar rollers) in the world, have built up a great reputation amongst cigar lovers all over the world.
All Cuban Cigars are managed through the manufacturing process, quality control, promotion, distribution and exportation by Habanos SA and Cubatabaco – two state tobacco companies. Havana, the capital of Cuba, is well known for producing some of the finest cigars, in particular, the world famous Habanos cigars.
It is said that every hand rolled Havana goes through around 200 different stages before I is ready to be smoked. Every single cigar is produced with extreme care, which has led them to be considered the best quality in the entire world. There are many different brands in Cuba that produce high quality cigars. The cigars are rolled from tobacco leaves that are grown and found all over the country. It is common for the filler, binders and wrappers to come from specific areas that specialise in producing these.
There are a wide range of different cigar brands that operate within Cuba, each of which label their packaging with “Hencho a mano”, which means “made in Cuba” showing its authenticity. Some of the most popular and famous cigar brands include Bolivar, Montecristo, Romeo & Julieta, Punch, Saint Luis Rey, Patagas, Cohiba and H Uppman. These are almost always available either boxed with a large quantity, or as a single.
